Have a non-profit client that runs a boat cruise in season. The boat cruises run one or two times per day on certain days of the week and each cruise allows a certain number of passengers (tickets sold).
When I look at the admin demo for this script, I see Movies and Cinemas in the menu. If we purchased your script would we be able to add different types of cruises (morning or afternoon) and instead of showtimes, can that be changed to "cruise times" .
Also, what would it cost to add the function to be able to add "cruises" on repeating days?-
Answer:
If you do not need a seat selection i.e. a seat map on the front-end, then the Event Booking Calendar script would be more suitable for the purpose:

You can define the "cruises" as events, there is an option for recurring events. The script also can generate tickets and send them to the customers by email.

Who do these emails go out to ?
Like do administrators get notified of bookings ?
-
Answer:
The script uses as "From" address the emails address of the master admin user (the one with id=1 in the database). This is also the email address which the messages are sent to.
The same confirmation message is sent to both - the administrator and the customer.

I teach a class and I am currently working on my website to advertise and give a tutorial and pre-quiz potential students. Upon passing the pre-quiz I would like to use your event planning software to book the classes etc and keep up with number of seats available etc.
I wanted to know if I could have customization to read a MySql table of pre-qualified students for a specific class\event and have them be able to login to your Event booking front end but only be allowed to view or book classes/events the were pre-qualifed for.
Is this something we can add and roughly what would the cost be to modify?-
Answer:
We will be able to make these changes, but we need to see the tables first. Can you send us a sample of the table(s) with students here.
Do you want only logged students to be able to book classes? Are there any limitations? Do you charge for bookings, or not?
Do you want to define which events to which students apply, or events are available to students as a group of events.

Hi Maya - many thanks for your reply. I can understand all the points but I need clarification on point 1.
When we upload the script do you mean transfer the folders by ftp? This is what we have done.
I'm not sure what you mean by install it using the table prefix for MYSql.
Could you please clarify the exact process for step one, and hopefully that will allow us to proceed.
Many thanks for your help-
Answer:
1)Yes, I mean to move script folder to new server. You can download/upload script files with FTP. You have to clear /app/config/config.inc.php file ( you must have a back-up of this file before cleaning it) and re-install the script using table prefix during installation (on installation wizard when you add MySQL details you are asked for table prefix).
Then just follow the rest of steps.
